Not Briarwood Mall!!!

In anticipation of the phoning frenzy surrounding Michigan Stadium, mobile service providers in Ann Arbor are "beefing up" capacity, while fans just beef up:

"If we're not careful, that bubble can overflow into surrounding areas. It can affect people at Briarwood Mall."

Former high school coach Lynn Lang implicated in Albert Means scandal to plead guilty.

Milton Kirk, Lang's assistant coach, has accused his former boss of seeking $200,000 to influence Means' choice of a college.

Lang's indictment also accuses him of seeking payoffs from other schools: Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Florida State, Michigan State and Memphis.

The ultimate Morisettian irony? Means is academically ineligible to play football anyway.

Excoriating invective on Gators coach Ron Zook. (Okay, I just wanted to use the word "excoriating.")

Zook first joined the Florida program in 1991...and it was only after Zook left, in 1996, that the Gators won their only national championship.
